Family / Spouse Visa
While there is no specific Family / Spouse Visa, there are many types of visas for family members that fall under different immigration categories. These are used for relatives and partners who want to join their loved ones in their country of residence.
At GIS, we take pride in our services that improve your chances of reuniting with your loved ones. If you are living outside the country where a family member that you want to visit lives, you can apply for a family visa that will allow you to live with your parent, child, spouse or partner, fiancé or fiancée, or a relative who will provide long-term care for you
These visas vary in length, cost, and processing time. They each have different requirements depending on the applicant’s background, relationship to their relative, and reason for joining them. Most Family Visas require the applicant to prove their relationship to their relative.
Visa Eligibility
This visa category is also used for married couples who want to live together in the UK, when one is a British national.
This type of visa allows the non-British spouse to enter the UK as the partner of a British or settled person. It lasts for up 33 months and can be extended and used as a qualifying time for permanent settled status. You need to meet certain requirements to be eligible for a Spouse Visa for the UK. These include passing the ‘genuine relationship test’ and meeting financial requirements amongst other requirements.
